Overview
Research & Development Engineering Services provides facilities management, engineering and capital project services tailored to the needs of R&D. We collaborate with our suppliers to ensure our environments are safe, reliable, compliant and sustainable. As a global function we support over 13,000 people across 19 sites in 6 countries, covering 4.7 million sq ft with a budget in excess of £400m per annum. There are multiple roles available within the department across our Strategy & Governance as well as Risk & Compliance teams.
Responsibilities
* Develops and supports governance, risk and compliance activities within the RDES department.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to build lasting relationships and become a trusted business partner.
* Manage projects and contribute to the delivery of live projects and assignments.
* Develop problem-solving and communication skills and awareness of cultural diversity in an international environment.
Qualifications and eligibility
* Education: Currently studying an undergraduate degree (e.g., business management, finance, risk management, communications). Minimum 2 years completed; must be enrolled at a UK or ROI university for the duration of the placement and not have graduated at start of placement.
* Language: Written and spoken fluency in English.
* Start date: June 2026. Duration: 1 year (approximately).
* Salary: £25,400 plus a bonus. Workplace arrangements: Flexible, with office/home working potentially available.
* Application: Must be an undergraduate placement; postgraduate Masters currently studying makes you ineligible.
