Responsibilities
As the Quantity Surveyor, your role will include:
1. Managing commercial activity on a fast-paced industrial build project
2. Working closely with the Senior QS and operational teams to ensure accurate cost control
3. Preparing valuations, variations, and detailed cost reports
4. Procuring and managing subcontract packages
5. Ensuring strong contractual compliance with JCT (NEC knowledge also welcome)
6. Overseeing tendering processes and supporting monthly commercial reporting
7. Building and maintaining strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
8. Attending site meetings and carrying out essential visits across St Albans and Radlett
Experience & Skills Required
Ideal candidates will have:
✔ Proven experience working as a QS on build / industrial / warehouse projects
✔ Strong working knowledge of JCT contracts (NEC beneficial)
✔ Ability to independently manage commercial processes and reporting
✔ Excellent communication and negotiation skills
✔ Flexibility to travel to project sites (Stansted + St Albans/Radlett)
✔ A proactive mindset and strong attention to detail
