About the Role
:
As a supervisor you will be working alongside Milton Keynes Council in our Social housing background, providing a stable and profitable contract, delivering excellent service and support through our local teams, who understand the importance of working together for the local community.
A Supervisor part of a local team supporting the supervision activities and requirements of our Housing operations and mainly focusing on the damp and mould remediation contract, and ensuring all supervisory procedures are being undertaken efficiently in compliance with Company operating procedures, deliver best in class customer service, whilst satisfying all safety, quality and cost control standards relating to budget, profitability and resource deployment.
1. Responsible for the operational supervision of contract activities, ensuring maximum productivity, profitability and satisfaction through effective resource utilisation & planning.
2. Duties will include attending properties to survey for damp and mould and to determine the next steps in line with company policy and procedure, as well as to supervise and monitor work delivery, progression & completion via ongoing site visits to ensure works are adequately resourced, are being effectively delivered to set quality standards, completed on time and within budgets. Compiling damp and mould surveys and management reports on operational activities, initiatives, and performance.
3. Ensure compliance and adherence to Awaabs law, H&S regulations, Mears standard operating procedures, Mears values and quality assurance accreditations. Demonstrate, maintain and monitor the company’s commitments to best practice with legislation, codes of practice & good working practices relevant to all work activities.
4. Ensure the customer experience is central to all activities by adopting a professional manner when communicating with all stakeholders, this includes but not limited to, appearance, company ID, maintaining a high standard of health & safety requirements.
5. Manage employees’ performance, coach and develop individuals in their roles, ensuring HR Policies & Procedures are followed, implement individual or group training where required.
6. Monitor and maintain all supplied company assets, including operatives vans, van stocks, material purchases, tools, plant hire, uniform and PPE. Utilise reports available to administer this task.
7. Follow and support policies, procedures, initiatives and work instructions at all times and keep all supplied company assets in a good condition in line with the company policies, reporting to your manager where damages occur.
8. Undertake any other duties as required by the company, provide back up to other supervisors to cover any absences and attend informal and formal company & client meetings and training sessions as required.

To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21 have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points.
