Stadler Rail Service UK (SRSUK) is recruiting a Procurement Assistant to work at one of its UK locations.
Role Overview
Reporting to the HQ Procurement Manager, you will ensure materials and tools are available to support train production and maintenance, meeting safety, reliability, environment and presentation standards.
Engage with depot personnel, suppliers and 3rd‑party service providers to manage expectations, maintain compliance and deliver agreed service levels.
UK travel to SRSUK sites is required on a regular basis.
Main Tasks
* Sourcing and obtaining quotations.
* Processing POs with approved vendors.
* Tracking deliveries and updating order records.
* Ensuring suppliers meet Stadler’s accreditation requirements.
* Supporting any function with supplier‑related issues.
* Expediting overdue materials and parts to minimise delays.
* Working cross‑functionally with other UK sites.
* Recognising risk and pre‑empting mitigation.
* Supporting warranty processes as required.
Experience
Essential:
* Sound knowledge of material supply principles, procedures and practices.
* IT skills in Microsoft Office and other stock‑management applications.
* Strong team focus and proven ability to build productive relationships at all levels.
* Proactive approach, identifying ways to support growth objectives.
* Ability to keep up to date with developments, policies and procedures and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
