Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic leader to fill the role of MRI Lead at The Royal Gwent Hospital.
This post is full time permanent contract based at The Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport with a requirement to work across other Aneurin Bevan sites as required.
The MRI Lead will operationally lead the MRI service at The Royal Gwent Hospital and assist colleagues in the operational management of the MRI service on other Aneurin Bevan sites. This will involve managing staff and equipment and providing guidance to staff working within it; the lead will have expert knowledge, understanding and interest in MRI.
The MRI Lead will be required to work with the radiology senior management team and key stakeholders to deliver a high‑quality MRI service, managing, co‑ordinating and, when required, participating in the provision of the MRI service across Aneurin Bevan University Health Board.
The post holder will be responsible for contributing to compliance with Welsh Government targets of Referral‑to‑Treatment Time and Single Cancer Pathway.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
The salary scale for a Band 3 has been adjusted as part of the NHS Agenda for Change pay award for 2026/2027 and will be implemented in August 2026 back‑dated to 01 April 2026 where applicable.
