Automotive Team Leader
Temporary to permanent opportunity – Solihull based
Pay rate: £13.50-£15.00

We are actively recruiting for a experienced Production Team Leader / Supervisor / Line Leader for a leading automotive manufacturing plant, working for a Quality Assurance brand with a global footprint. You will be responsible for managing a variable shift size of up to 30 operators, carrying out quality inspection and rectification initiatives.
You will receive a guaranteed minimum of 80 hours per month, with potential to work around 200 hours per month based on current managers' expectations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Create and update work instructions and risk assessments within customer specifications.
2. Understand and execute technical project details, including CAD drawings, tolerances, quality standards, and risk assessments.
3. Estimate project expenditure based on feasibility tests prior to project acceptance.
4. Champion and promote 5S standards.
5. Support timely project delivery within budget and scope.
6. Manage KPI tracking and target achievement.
7. Coordinate quality control, rework, and logistics to support OEM's production.
8. Inspect and rework parts as needed.
9. Ensure use of eQCC for data capture during inspections and rework.
10. Liaise with OEM, customers, and suppliers as necessary.
11. Ensure accurate and timely submission of timesheets.
12. Promote waste reduction and continuous improvement.

2. Ensure adherence to accident procedures and timely inductions.

1. Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
2. Develop strong relationships with internal and external customers.
Leadership:
1. Motivate and engage the team.
2. Mentor colleagues and support HR processes related to performance and discipline.
Requirements:
1. Experience working with OEMs and suppliers in the automotive or production industry.
2. Proven ability to create work instructions and risk assessments.
3. Knowledge of Formel D processes and eQCC equipment.
4. Attention to detail and organizational skills.
5. Proficiency in MS Office.
6. Strong communication skills.
7. Motivated to learn and grow.
Hours of Work:
3-shift rotation with possible weekend work: 0600-1400, 1400-2200, 2200-0600
Pay Rate:
£13.50-£15.00 per hour (plus shift allowance for unsociable hours)
