Ventro Group is focused on fire-safety installation, maintenance and surveying services, generating annual revenue of more than £50m. Since July 2025, we have been backed by KLAR Partners, one of the leading private equity investors in technical services businesses.
Due to rapid growth (organic and through acquisition), we are seeking a technically strong Group Reporting Manager as part of our finance team (currently 12 people) based in Plymouth. Reporting to the CFO, we are looking for a qualified accountant to take a lead role in reporting/budgeting for the overall business.
Whilst the role has no initial direct reports, matrix/project management skills will be required. In addition, we anticipate strong growth and are looking for an individual who in-time can build and motivate a small team.
The role would suit a practice accountant keen to broaden their skill-set in industry or an industry accountant interested in reporting and corporate finance.
Key duties:
· Working with the CFO and Financial Controller in delivering professional financial board reports. This typically includes downloading information from the Netsuite accounting system and presenting it clearly for analysis in a PowerPoint format, highlighting key trends and salient points.
· Enhancing the group’s reporting of overhead cost centres and sending/presenting monthly reports against budget to cost centre owners.
· Supporting the CFO with maintenance of the group’s long term Excel financial model which requires updating on at least a monthly basis.
· Supporting the CFO with short-term and long-term cash flow forecasting and treasury management.
· Monitoring the group’s net debt and banking covenants
· Liaising with our finance providers and delivering reporting in-line with the stated timetable.
· Key role in preparation of annual budget.
· Working with the CFO to complete potential refinancing exercises as the group grows
· Supporting the Financial Controller with completing management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations (as required depending on level of reporting/project activity).
· Working with the M&A Finance Manager to support on bolt-on acquisitions.
· Liaising with year-end accountants/auditors and completing requests.
· Providing support as required across the finance function in a growing business.
