Salary: £25,322 - £27,727
Hours: 36 per week, 52 weeks
We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join the Positive Steps Care at Home service as a Support Worker. Positive Steps is a city-wide short-term mental health Care at Home and Housing Support service, registered with the Care Inspectorate. The service helps individuals develop skills for independent living and involves significant lone working. The post holder will ensure support is provided according to each individual's goals and support plan, and will develop support plans and risk assessments. The service operates 365 days a year with staff working a rolling shift pattern, and an additional Working Time Payment is available for shift work.
City of Edinburgh Council is currently undergoing a service review; therefore, structures and posts may be subject to change.
This role involves regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate must join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Candidates who have spent three or more months outside the UK in the last five years will require an Overseas Criminal Record Check, which must be provided. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of these pre-employment checks.

Our salary range typically reflects the starting salary, with annual increases up to the top of the range.
