Ferring+You
This function is responsible for the development, communication, and successful execution of the EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) strategy within its designated scope. Its primary aim is to promote ongoing improvements in Health and Safety (H&S) and Environmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) by emphasizing the need to change employee mindsets and behaviours. This includes cultivating leadership and accountability among managers, ensuring compliance with legal standards, and effectively implementing recognized industry standards.
The role also involves monitoring and efficiently sharing best practices across various Ferring manufacturing sites and Research and Development (R&D) facilities, which includes Third Party Manufacturers. This is a global role, encompassing the TechOps Manufacturing Network and key suppliers across more than 15 countries. International travel can be expected up to 50% of the working time.
Your day at Ferring
1. Support the development and continuous improvement of Global EHS policies and programs aligned with the ESG strategy to foster cultural development.
2. Coordinate the implementation of Global EHS standards across functions to ensure compliance and consistency.
3. Lead the implementation and certification processes for ISO 14001, 45001, and 50001 standards globally.
4. Manage the EHS auditing program, including internal, peer, and external audits, to ensure regulatory compliance.
5. Build EHS competencies and mitigate risks through collaboration, training, and behavioural change initiatives.
6. Develop and maintain a strong EHS network to promote knowledge sharing and best practices across sites.
7. Oversee global EHS IT tools, ensuring data accuracy, system improvement, and collaboration with IT and vendors.
8. Provide practical support, review expansion projects for EHS compliance, and act as a change management expert to drive cultural transformation.
Behind our innovation…There’s you
9. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Science, or Engineering, with 10+ years of EHS experience, ideally in the chemical, pharmaceutical, or biotech industry.
10. Proven experience leading global EHS programs with strong knowledge of international regulations and standards.
11. Skilled in identifying, assessing, and mitigating EHS risks across multiple regions and operational environments.
12. Expertise in environmental impact assessments, sustainability initiatives, and managing environmental programs.
13. In-depth knowledge of EHS management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, 45001, 50001) and global certification processes.
14. Proficient in collecting, analyzing, and leveraging EHS data to drive performance improvements and compliance.
15. Experienced in using EHS IT systems and tools for data management, reporting, and operational efficiency.
16. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with cultural awareness and fluency in English (additional European language preferred).
