TeacherActive is currently recruiting Cover Supervisors / Cover Teachers to work in a number of supportive secondary schools across Swindon and the surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are considering a future career in teaching, education, youth work or pastoral support, and want to gain hands-on classroom experience without the pressure of lesson planning or marking.
No formal teaching qualification is required — just confidence, enthusiasm, and the ability to engage and support young people.

The Role
As a Cover Supervisor you will:
• Deliver pre-prepared lessons in the teacher’s absence
• Supervise and engage students aged 11–16
• Maintain a positive and focused classroom environment
• Manage behaviour calmly and professionally
• Support students with their learning across a range of subjects
No planning or marking required.
✔ What We’re Looking For
We are looking for confident and enthusiastic individuals who:
• Have at least 6 months’ experience working with young people
• OR hold a CACHE Level 2 / Level 3 qualification
• Are confident speaking in front of a classroom
• Have strong communication and leadership skills
• Are reliable, adaptable and passionate about education
Experience in sports coaching, tutoring, mentoring, youth work, childcare, teaching assistance, or support work is highly desirable.
