Position Overview
This post is primarily intended for trainees in Urology who have completed Core Training and are working towards a UK national training grade post in Urology. The post does not carry SAC or college approval for training. We will also consider doctors with Urology experience aiming for specialist registration in the UK. Candidates must have passed the MRCS or demonstrate equivalent competencies and possess 12 to 18 months of Urology experience as a core trainee.
The posts are usually for one year and may be extended at the discretion of the department supervisors.
Key Responsibilities
* Participate as part of a 1 in 8 registrar on-call rota, acting as a competent team member.
* Communicate professionally with colleagues and the team.
* Organize and provide initial patient care across all three on-call sites: City Campus, QMC Campus, and Kings Mill Hospital.
* Attend clinics, theatre sessions, and ward rounds as per the weekly timetable.
* Maintain up-to-date patient documentation and communication.
