Job Summary
The post-holder will provide consultant input and clinical leadership to the Emotional and Behavioural Pathway (4 days per week) and the Paediatric Liaison Team (1 day per week). Responsibilities include psychiatric assessment, treatment, senior clinical leadership, consultation for multidisciplinary teams, and service development.
Responsibilities
* Provide psychiatric assessment and treatment for children and adolescents.
* Lead clinical care for the Emotional and Behavioural Pathway and Paediatric Liaison Team.
* Offer senior clinical input and consultation to multidisciplinary teams and external agencies.
* Supervise and teach junior staff, and contribute to training and research initiatives.
* Participate in the Trust's Healthcare Governance and Quality Improvement programmes.
* Engage with diverse local populations and collaborate with Community CAMHS, Social Care, Education and Third Sector agencies.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Full GMC registration.
* MRCPsych parts 1 & 2 or equivalent.
Skills
* Extensive clinical knowledge and excellent clinical skills.
* Sound professional judgement.
Teaching
* Experience in small‑group teaching and lecturing.
* Commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, academic and clinical.
Eligibility
Applicants should be on or eligible for the Specialist Register, or within six months of obtaining CCT in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Required DBS check and Disclosure and Barring Service clearance.
