The Principal Estates Coordinator will be responsible for supporting and deputising for the Estate Services Area Manager to achieve agreed performance outcomes and high standards across the area team. Under the direction of the Estate Services Area Manager, they will assist in providing direction and support to Estate Services Coordinators relating to staff management issues, the collation of monthly information regarding staffing matters such as absence, performance management and health and safety across the whole of the area team.
Responsibilities
* Assess and advise on matters relating to staff welfare across the whole team.
* Lead a team of caretakers, responsible for all aspects of line management, including training and development, regular one-to-one supervision meetings and assessment of health and wellbeing, health and safety compliance.
* Manage performance, conduct and sickness absence in accordance with Council policy and procedures.
* Ensure estates are maintained to high standards of cleanliness, safety, security and appearance.
* Oversee on the allocated patch the performance and delivery of cleaning, grounds maintenance, communal repairs, estate improvements and resident involvement in the management of the estates.
* Directly supervise caretakers on a day-to-day basis.
