Job Description
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the boundary of your scope of work, key interfaces with adjacent work areas, and collaboration methods are agreed upon with the Project Technical Manager (PTM).
2. Document and agree on technical requirements with stakeholders.
3. Understand and incorporate design requirements into the scope of works for the Designer.
4. Integrate sustainability targets, SME and stakeholder engagement, and client standards into proposed solutions.
5. Engage proactively with the Designer to ensure design development aligns with requirements.
6. Attend project meetings, design meetings, SME meetings, and tier meetings as scheduled with PTM.
7. Raise issues and escalate through the established project processes.
8. Contribute to the project risk register and participate in project/work package cost and schedule reviews.
9. Report progress, issues, and escalations via the ETS tier process.
10. Assist PTM in preparing for Engineering Council assessments.
11. Collaborate with the Designer to develop the design, translating technical requirements into engineering deliverables.
12. Define and agree on necessary requirements and design deliverables for all design stages (BD and DD) with the Designer.
13. Participate in Designer-led design reviews and contribute insights.
14. Review and comment on engineering deliverables from Designers and equipment suppliers within review periods.
15. Support Work Package Owners in understanding key requirements and the design basis.
16. Approve equipment URSs within the technical area as GERE SME Approver.
17. Conduct periodic Design Assurance reviews (30%, 60%, 90%) to ensure technical alignment and identify value engineering opportunities.
18. Attend supplier visits for critical or ancillary equipment packages, considering geography and carbon budget constraints.
19. Contribute to procurement strategy development for technical work packages, including pre-qualification, contractor selection, and scope of contracts.
20. Provide technical support for hazard studies, HAZOPs, and LOPAs, ensuring appropriate mitigations are incorporated into the design.
21. Review and approve FATs, SATs, and DQ protocols for GMP equipment packages.
22. Review the Engineering Compliance Tracker to ensure SHE standards are met.
23. Collaborate with the C&Q Execution Lead on developing the C&Q strategy, including resource estimation, sequencing, and durations for C&Q activities, including test materials and consumables.
24. Prepare for and participate in Project Definition Rating Index (PDRI) meetings.
