We are looking for a competent and organised facilities and maintenance professional to join our excellent Property team, to provide facilities management, day-to-day site security and first responder duties that meet the needs of our School. In this role, you will carry out maintenance and repairs of the Schools buildings, infrastructure, facilities and vehicles through reactive and planned maintenance all year round; provide the Schools first response capability for 26 weeks of the year; support the set up and break down of equipment and facilities to meet the Schools needs and maintain the appearance of the Schools buildings both internally and externally. There is the option for the Property Operative to hold specific skills as a painter and decorator. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week with two working patterns: When on first responder duty (26 weeks of the year), you will work 07:00-11:30, 15:30-18:30 and 21:30 22:00 Monday to Friday and be on call 18:30 Friday 07:30 Monday. When not on first responder duty, you will work 07:30 to 16:00 Monday to Friday (with a 30-minute break for lunch, unpaid). In exchange for the first responder duties, the Property Operative Live-in is provided with on-site accommodation for which the School pays rent, gas, electricity, council tax and water bills. About You The ideal candidate will have good all round building maintenance and building finishing experience, be able to carry out specialised repairs and building improvement works to a high standard, have the ability to meet the physical requirements of the role and be punctual, reliable and trustworthy.
