Overview
Location: Cowdenbeath Primary School, Cowdenbeath, Scotland
Contract type: Permanent
Working pattern: 10 hours per week – 5:30pm to 7:30pm
Salary: £24,740.74 pro rata (Scottish Local Government Living Wage of £13.18 per hour for this post, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends). Pay is annualised for 40-week contracts with equal instalments every 4-week pay period.
Role overview: You will be part of a team of cleaners in schools, with a permanent vacancy in Primary Schools covering as required on a backshift Monday to Friday only. The aim is to ensure pupils and staff can return to a clean and safe environment every school day.
Responsibilities
* Perform general cleaning tasks to maintain cleanliness and safety in school facilities.
* On-the-job training provided; duties may include cleaning duties as part of a team in a school environment.
* Ensure high standards of cleanliness to support a positive learning environment.
Qualifications and requirements
* Prior experience is not required; on-the-job training is provided.
* Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland is required before confirmation of appointment.
* Becoming a member of the relevant PVG scheme is required.
* Induction Training Day is required before starting in post.
