Role summary
The System Solution Developer is a key role in Asset Delivery Planning, supporting Sub Portfolio Leads by investigating business risks and developing best-for-business solutions. You will lead the Totex Investment Process during solution development, providing visibility throughout the lifecycle of schemes and post-project review feedback.
You will plan and conduct technical investigations, develop optimal solutions, manage stakeholder engagement, and lead the ROV process. The role requires technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver efficient and effective investment strategies.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead technical investigations and evaluate asset problems
* Develop detailed operational and capital solutions with delivery teams
* Prepare cost estimates, conduct scenario planning, and evaluate carbon impact
* Manage stakeholder relationships and promote investment strategies
* Lead the ROV process and capture learning for continuous improvement
* Mentor team members and champion Totex principles
Key Skills & Behaviours
* IAM qualification or equivalent, degree in a relevant subject
* Understanding of water/water recycling processes
* Experience in cost estimating, risk/value techniques, and business risk analysis
* Ability to work collaboratively, think analytically, tactically, and strategically
* Excellent communication, reporting, and IT skills (Excel, PowerBI, C55, Word)
* Customer service ethic, efficiency focus, and ability to challenge constructively
