The Council’s Corporate Business Support service is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an internal candidate to step into a key management role. As a Business Support Operations Manager, you’ll oversee Business Support teams across Children’s Services, ensuring our administrative support is efficient, responsive and ready for the upcoming reforms. You’ll work closely with Service Managers and senior leaders, playing a central role in delivering high quality services that continue to evolve as Children’s Services implement the Families First Partnership reforms.
Hybrid working is available for this role, with at least one day a week in the office on average, and additional time on site as required to support service priorities.
What We’re Looking For
* Management experience and a strong understanding of operational administration within a support service environment.
* Experience implementing and analysing systems to improve service delivery.
* Ability to motivate, develop and lead staff.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to oversee team workflows, ensuring staff are supported to meet statutory timescales and service priorities.
* Strong people management skills, balancing competing demands and deadlines.
* Confidence in negotiating, developing and reviewing Service Level Agreements.
