Facilities Manager
Are you an experienced facilities professional ready to take on a pivotal leadership role in a dynamic school environment? We are seeking a proactive and skilled School Facilities Manager to oversee the management and maintenance of our 27-acre school purpose-built site located on the outskirts of Northampton, ensuring it remains a safe, secure, and efficient space for our students, staff, and visitors.
As the School Facilities Manager, you will oversee all aspects of our site operations, ensuring our facilities are secure, well maintained, and fully compliant with health and safety standards. You will be responsible for:
1. Site security, premises and grounds management
2. Maintenance of plant and equipment
3. Cleaning operations and enterprise activities
4. Health and safety compliance across the site
You will lead a team that includes the Facilities Supervisor, Premises Site Supervisors, Cleaning Manager, and Transport Team, who in turn manage the day-to-day operations delivered by caretakers, cleaners, and enterprise teams.
Qualifications:
* Relevant qualification in Facilities Management (e.g., IWFM Level 4 or equivalent), or a willingness to gain qualification within 6 months
* Health & Safety Training (e.g., NEBOSH or IOSH)
* First Aid Certificate
* Technical certifications such as Legionella Awareness, Asbestos Awareness, Pool Plant Operators, and Fire Warden (desirable)
* MIDAS (Driver Assessor) Trainer qualification (desirable)

Salary: £39,895-£57,000 depending on experience (with confirmed 2.75% increase from September 2025)
Hours: 36 hours per week
Required from: August 2025
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Annual Leave: 30 days plus bank holidays
