Job Description:
Rolls-Royce Solutions UK Ltd Marine is responsible for the sales and service support of advanced propulsion and power systems across various sectors. The Field Service Engineer will perform preventative and corrective maintenance, including installation, commissioning, and testing of new products, serving as an ambassador for the company.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
2. Carry out commissioning, service, and repair of IPMS/AMS, propulsion, and power systems.
3. Install and commission switchboards and power management systems on vessels.
4. Perform maintenance and fault diagnosis on electrical systems.
5. Support team development and continuous improvement initiatives.
6. Provide emergency on-call support.
7. Prepare technical reports post-service.
8. Identify and resolve technical issues, using diagnostic tools.
9. Support other service and sales activities, including customer meetings.
10. Manage stock of parts and equipment.
11. Perform duties in the workshop as needed.
12. Provide technical guidance and training as required.
13. Travel extensively within the UK & ROI, and potentially overseas.
Person Profile:
The candidate should be proactive, communicative, culturally sensitive, and technically competent in marine propulsion and power products. Electrical and mechanical skills, experience with switchboards, and diagnostic proficiency are essential. Willingness to travel and work physically demanding tasks are required. Proficiency in MS Office, a full driving license, and a valid passport are necessary. Fluency in English and appropriate electrical qualifications are mandatory. Security clearance and CONDO training are also required.
