Job overview The Associate Director of Planned care and Halton work in partnership with the Associate Medical Director and the Associate Chief Nurse/Associate AHP. The three roles have operational accountability for the workforce, service delivery, clinical quality and safety and financial control, and the implementation of the corporate objectives and Trust’s strategy within the division. Together as a team post holders will be responsible for defining care group objectives to meet corporate goals and ensuring that quality standards are met and performance addressed where this is not the case. The Associate Director will have responsibility for ensuring that the Care Group delivers and achieves key national constitutional standards in relation to patient access and care. In addition, the Associate Director for planned care will have oversight of the Halton site and be the lead person in the event of any site issues requiring escalation. The Associate Director will have responsibility for all aspects of the performance of the Care Group in so far as they relate to the management and delivery of patient care and delivery of key patient, workforce and financial targets. Advert · Contribute to the formulation of the Trust’s long term strategic direction and corporate plans, policies and decision-making as a member of the Senior Management Team. · Support the Chief Operating Officer and Trust Executive in ensuring that the highest standards of corporate governance and personal behaviour are maintained in the organisation · To formulate and agree activity levels which may form the basis of contracts through the commissioning processes and in support of the clinical services strategy · Responsible for the development of an elective centre on the Halton site and increasing activity delivery at the Captain Sir Tom Moore building (CSTM) · Ensure that the expenditure of the Care Group is managed within the agreed delegated budget and that CIP and other relevant financial targets are achieved. This includes budgetary responsibility for a number of departments and services.
