Our client has a fantastic opportunity for clinical Lead Allied Health - Occupational Therapist. This client is a growing allied health provider with a focus on empowering people through therapy that's practical, personal and collaborative. They work with NDIS participants and private clients of all ages kids, teens, adults and they genuinely love what they do.

J800008361 Clinical Lead Allied Health - Occupational Therapist Salary: $75,000 - $105,000 (AUD) + Superannuation (Depending on Experience) Locations: Adelaide, South Australia Client Group: National Disability Insurance Scheme

Lead clinical governance and allied health practice so services are safe, evidence-based, participant-centred and compliant with NDIS Practice Standards. Provide clinical leadership, supervision and coaching, steward quality improvement, and carry a small, complex caseload to keep practice current.


Key Responsibilities

* Clinical governance & safety
o Maintain and embed Lyft's Clinical Governance Framework, policies and pathways (assessment planning intervention review exit).
o Oversee incident management, risk assessments, duty of care, and safeguarding (incl. reportable incidents, restrictive practices requirements).
* Leadership & supervision
o Provide regular 1:1 and group supervision; support clinical reasoning, documentation quality and professional growth.
o Workforce planning: skill mix, caseload balance, recruitment input and onboarding of new clinicians/AHAs.
* Quality & compliance
o Ensure practice aligns with NDIS Practice Standards & Code of Conduct; prepare for/lead audits and corrective actions.
o Monitor documentation timeliness, consent, goal/outcome measures, and informed decision-making.
* Service delivery
o Hold a small complex caseload (e.g., functional capacity, AT/home mods, communication/feeding, behaviour supports as qualified).
o Triage complex referrals; assist with prioritisation, waitlist and escalation pathways.
* Outcomes & improvement
o Implement outcome measures (e.g., COPM/Goal Attainment/communication measures), analyse trends, and run PDSA cycles.
o Lead training/PD calendar; develop clinical resources, templates and practice guides.
* Stakeholder engagement
o Collaborate with participants, families, support coordinators, referrers, schools, hospitals and community partners.


Requirements

* Registration/qualification:
o AHPRA-registered Occupational Therapist
* Experience:
o 5+ years post-grad clinical practice in disability/community; 2+ years providing clinical supervision/leadership.
o Demonstrated work with complex presentations (e.g., neurodiversity, complex communication, AT/home mods, behaviour support within scope).
* Knowledge & compliance:
o Strong understanding of NDIS Practice Standards, incident management, consent/capacity, safeguarding and (where relevant) restrictive practices rules.
* Skills:
o High-level clinical reasoning and writing (clear, audit-ready reports).
o Coaching/supervision skills; calm escalation management; data-informed QI.
o Stakeholder communication with participants/families and multidisciplinary teams.
* Tech:
o Competent with EMR/CRM (e.g., Splose or similar), Microsoft 365/Teams; comfortable with telehealth.
* Checks:
o Current NDIS Worker Screening, WWCC/DHS relevant clearances, National Police Check, driver's licence.
