About the Role
Join our dynamic Construction Craft & Low Carbon Transitions Team as a lecturer in Carpentry & Joinery and support candidates in achieving their learning goals by providing an engaging and effective learning experience. Contribute to the overall success of our curricular area by assisting team members and the Academic and Quality Manager with the evaluation of learning and teaching. Help achieve the operational and strategic objectives outlined in the College Regional Outcome Agreement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver Learning and Teaching activities to a broad range of learners and in a variety of educational settings.
2. · Primarily teach candidates in subject areas of Carpentry & Joinery.
3. · Evaluate and improve teaching methods and curriculum effectiveness.
4. · Collaborate effectively with colleagues to enhance team performance and curriculum quality
5. · Support continuous improvement initiatives within the department
6. · Maintain accurate records of learner attendance and achievement

Qualifications and Experience
7. Essential:
8. Qualified to SVQ Level 3 in Carpentry & Joinery the relevant vocational area or Highest level qualification in the relevant discipline
9. Relevant current academic experience
10. Demonstrable experience and practiced skills following a vocational qualification
11. Driving License as Travel will be required within Fife
12. Desirable:
13. Teaching Qualification in Further Education (TQFE)
14. Advanced Certificate in Carpentry & Joinery or a HNC/HND in a relevant field
15. Broad demonstrable experience of curriculum delivery
16. Proven record of evaluative ability, to recognise areas for improvement and plan for excellence
17. Knowledge of fabric first principles and/or retrofit would be desirable for this post
