This is a rare opportunity to join a highly regarded architectural practice operating at the top end of its field. The business is known for delivering considered, design-led projects across the UK and internationally, with a reputation built on quality, longevity, and attention to detail.
The role sits at the centre of the business, supporting how projects are structured, contracted, and delivered. It will suit someone who enjoys being close to decision-making and wants to build a broad commercial skillset in a creative, project-led environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Review, draft, and negotiate a range of consultancy, appointment, and commercial agreements
* Support procurement processes across live architectural projects
* Advise internal stakeholders on contractual terms, risk allocation, and delivery considerations
* Manage professional indemnity insurance processes, including renewals and claims support
* Maintain and improve contract management systems and documentation standards
* Provide guidance on regulatory compliance, including professional standards and data protection
* Support on intellectual property matters relating to design work
* Assist with dispute resolution and coordination with external advisers where required
* Work closely with project teams to ensure contracts align with delivery timelines and commercial objectives
* Liaise with brokers, insurers, and external counsel on specialist matters
Key Requirements
* Qualified solicitor, paralegal, or equivalent legal or commercial experience
* 2+ years’ experience in a legal, contracts, or procurement-focused role
* Experience reviewing and negotiating contracts within a professional services, construction, or built environment context
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret and explain contractual terms clearly
* Confident engaging with stakeholders across different functions
* Commercially aware, with a practical and solutions-focused approach
Desirable:
* Familiarity with construction or consultancy appointments
* Exposure to professional indemnity insurance processes
* Understanding of data protection or intellectual property considerations
Why Join This Business
* Work with a practice recognised for delivering some of the most thoughtfully designed projects in its sector
* Exposure to a varied portfolio spanning private, commercial, and heritage developments
* Opportunity to support projects beyond the UK, with international scope
* A role with real visibility, working closely with senior leadership and project teams
* A stable, well-established business with a strong reputation and long-term outlook
This is a position where you can build genuine breadth early on. You will not be confined to a narrow legal remit, and you will see how projects come together from both a commercial and delivery perspective.
If you are looking for a role that offers variety, responsibility, and exposure to high-quality work, I'd be keen to speak.
