Job Description
We are recruiting a Head Chef for a 4 star hotel in London.
You responsible for leading the kitchen team, managing daily operations, and ensuring high-quality food production and service. This includes menu planning, food preparation, staff management, inventory control, and maintaining food safety standards. The Head Chef also ensures the kitchen operates efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall success of the hotel's dining operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Menu Planning and Development:
* Creating and updating menus, developing new recipes, and ensuring food quality and presentation meet established standards.
* Staff Management:
* Supervising, training, and motivating kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants.
* Food Preparation and Production:
* Overseeing the preparation and cooking of all menu items, ensuring consistency and high standards with high end plating and presentation.
* Inventory and Cost Control:
* Managing food and supplies inventory, minimizing waste, and controlling food costs.
* Food Safety and Hygiene:
* Ensuring all food preparation and storage practices comply with health and safety regulations, including HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points).
* Operational Efficiency:
* Managing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including scheduling, workflow, and equipment maintenance.
* Liaison with Management:
* Collaborating with hotel management on various aspects, including budgeting, staffing, and overall dining operations.
* Training and Development:
* Providing guidance and training to kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
* Customer Satisfaction:
* Ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards, contributing to positive customer experiences.
