Bus Development Manager – Liverpool City Region Combined Authority
Location: No 1 Mann Island, Liverpool
Contract: Permanent (Full‑time 35hrs/week)
Responsibilities
* Lead the initiation, specification and commissioning of major bus and public transport schemes in the Liverpool City Region.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to develop strategic transport plans, set key performance indicators and report on programme governance.
* Deliver key schemes, projects and programmes to expand the transport network and support future ambitions.
* Enhance the efficiency, sustainability and accessibility of public transport, driving improvements that improve quality of life for residents and visitors.
* Work closely with the Bus Rapid Transit and Development Manager, providing support and expertise across the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
* Experience of designing, commissioning, implementing and leading transport‑related development schemes or projects.
* Strong stakeholder and project management skills, with a track record of working collaboratively with delivery partners.
* Proven ability to develop transport strategy, set KPIs and report regularly on programme governance.
* Excellent customer focus, problem‑solving ability and resilience to manage a challenging, diverse programme of work.
* Highly organised, adaptable and able to work at pace in a multi‑modal environment.
