Your new roleAs a Field Service Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and safety of a fleet of material handling equipment, including telehandlers. Working directly at customer sites, you will deliver high-quality maintenance, servicing, and repair support while acting as a professional and trusted representative of the business.Your responsibilities will include:
* Carrying out planned maintenance and servicing on hire machinery at customer locations
* Responding to breakdowns and delivering efficient, high-quality repairs
* Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and technical faults on-site
* Providing excellent customer service and building strong working relationships
* Working closely with operations and support teams to improve service delivery
* Accurately completing service reports, repair documentation, and customer records
This role offers a high level of autonomy, variety, and exposure to a wide range of modern equipment and working environments.
What you'll need to succeed
* Proven experience repairing and servicing plant or material handling equipment, including telehandlers
* A recognised mechanical qualification in plant, agricultural, or similar engineering (desirable but not essential)
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on approach
* The ability to work independently and manage time effectively
* Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
* Willingness to travel to customer sites as required
* Good organisation and attention to detail
* A full, valid driving licence
