Job title: Female Support Worker (Waking Night)
Location: Kings Heath
Salary: £12.31 per hour
Role: Permanent 40 hours per week
Shifts: 9:45pm–7:45am. You must be flexible to work any 4 nights out of the week including weekends.
You must have relevant experience for this position, especially with challenging behaviour and Autism. NOT OPEN TO OVERSEAS APPLICANTS OR CHANGE OF VISAS APPLICANTS.

If you have previous experience as a support worker, care assistant, domiciliary/home care, or in residential homes, this would be ideal. If not, full training will be provided. We are looking for caring and compassionate people who want to make a difference in people’s lives.

About the service
We currently have 6 adult service users residing at Swan Court: 5 males and 1 female. Swan Court is a residential service focusing on Learning Disability, Autism, and challenging behaviour. Service users are nonverbal and require full support with day-to-day living skills and promoting independence. We work as a team to meet the needs of each individual based on a person-centred approach.
Support Worker Duties
* Supporting residents to develop independence and life skills.
* Assisting people to achieve daily goals and daily activities such as arts, crafts, and hobbies.
* Assisting with the development of person-centred plans for residents, including employment, education and other opportunities.
* Maintaining records and drawing up risk assessments.
* Providing personal care where needed, always working towards more independence.
* Supporting people in undertaking daily activities or development.
