Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Class 2 Recovery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles and recovery equipment, ensuring timely and secure deliveries. This role requires a strong focus on safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate flatbed vehicles efficiently. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, supporting our fleet recovery operations across various locations.
Responsibilities
* Operate Class 2 flatbed lorries for vehicle recovery and transportation
* Safely load, secure, and unload vehicles using appropriate equipment and techniques
* Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety compliance
* Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries and recoveries
* Follow all traffic laws and company policies during transit
* Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding schedules and any issues encountered during journeys
* Assist with roadside recovery operations when required, ensuring customer satisfaction and safety standards are met
Experience
* Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with recovery roles
* Familiarity with flatbed vehicle operation and securing loads
* Valid driving licence suitable for Class 2 vehicles (category C)
* Experience in commercial driving environments, demonstrating safe driving practices
* Knowledge of vehicle recovery procedures is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for specialised tasks
