About Us

An exciting opportunity to join our community teams across Kent, focusing on locality working, person-centered support, and good practice.

We work with adults with various care needs, conducting assessments such as Care Act, MCA, Court of Protection, and safeguarding enquiries.

Our interventions are based on excellent practice, innovation, and meaningful measures, emphasizing relationship-building with individuals, families, and communities.

About You

We welcome applications from both experienced and newly qualified social workers who meet current professional standards and hold registration with Social Work England.

You should have strong literacy and communication skills, and a positive, forward-thinking attitude.

The role requires a Full UK Driving Licence, but reasonable adjustments will be made for disabilities.

Our Support Offer

We offer a comprehensive benefits package, flexible working options, market premium payments (subject to eligibility), generous leave, and a local government pension scheme.

Opportunities for professional development include access to our social care academy, progression routes, and practice framework.

We support skill development in areas like Mental Health, Best Interest Assessments, and Practice Education.

You will receive regular supervision and opportunities for career development.

Please specify your preferred work areas and full-time or part-time preferences on your application.

We are extending our hours to provide an 8 am to 8 pm, 7-day service to meet community needs.

This position requires an Enhanced Disclosure and registration with Social Work England.

The role is customer-facing, with a statutory duty to ensure effective communication in English/Welsh.

Interview dates will be confirmed if successful.

For more information, contact Senior Business Support Officer Rebecca Button at tskcbso@kent.gov.uk or Community Team Manager Joe Lillicrap at joe.lillicrap@kent.gov.uk.

We also welcome applications from registered nurses and occupational therapists. Contact relevant managers for opportunities.
