We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Hillington to assist with the appointment of a Finance Business Partner - Adult Social Care, on a 4.5-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £396.33 - £552.52 per Day
Responsibilities:
* Provide comprehensive financial advice and support to the Adult Social Care Directorate, contributing to sound decision-making and effective resource management.
* Lead on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring activities.
* Monitor financial performance against a £130 million net budget, ensuring that expenditure remains within approved limits.
* Oversee and provide financial assurance for the Adult Social Care placements budget (£90m) and Public Health Grant (£20m).
* Support the development of the Directorates Medium-Term Financial Forecast (MTFF) and longer-term financial strategies.
* Provide financial insight to inform service transformation, commissioning decisions, and capital investment planning.
Qualifications:
* Qualified accountant (CIPFA, ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent professional qualification.
Experience:
* Proven experience in local government finance or a comparable large public sector organisation.
* Strong track record of financial business partnering, particularly within Adult Social Care or Health & Social Care environments.
* Demonstrated ability to manage large and complex budgets and deliver robust financial monitoring and forecasting.
* Experience of supporting senior management teams, providing financial challenge, and influencing decision-making.
* Familiarity with public sector funding frameworks, commissioning, and service transformation.
* Evidence of continuing professional development in finance and leadership.
