Are you an electrically biased maintenance engineer who thrives in true industrial, continuous-process environments? This role sits within a large, high-throughput processing plant that operates 24/7, transforming organic raw materials into high-value ingredients for the pet food and animal nutrition markets. Its a complex, energy-intensive operation with conveyors, pumps, motors, drives, control panels, thermal systems and automated process equipment running around the clock. Youll be part of the on-site engineering function, responsible for keeping critical plant running safely, efficiently and compliantly. This is not facilities or light maintenance work its hands-on electrical engineering in a live process environment. As a Shift Electrician, you will: Carry out electrical fault-finding and breakdown repairs on production plant Maintain and monitor motors, drives, panels, sensors and control systems Complete PPMs and statutory electrical checks Support electrical installations, upgrades and improvement projects Work closely with operations to minimise downtime Ensure all work is completed in line with site safety and compliance standards Take ownership of plant performance during your shift Youll operate with a high degree of autonomy on shift, solving real problems in a fast-moving production environment. What Were Looking For Recognised electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent) Completed electrical apprenticeship Strong experience in manufacturing, process, energy, waste, FMCG or heavy industry Confident fault-finding on live plant and control systems 18th Edition desirable Basic PLC / inverter knowledge advantageous Whats In It For You?
