Cardiac Physiologist - Harefield Hospital

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Cardiac Physiologist to expand their skills and knowledge in both invasive and non‑invasive cardiology.
The Cardiac Department provides a wide range of diagnostic procedures including:
* All non‑invasive testing
* Transplant and VAD assessments, including CPEX testing.
The successful candidate will initially work directly under supervision in the non‑invasive and transplant sections of the department. Thereafter, following internal sign‑off against competenices, will work independently or as part of a team.
Main duties of the job
A period of supervised training, assessment and competencies before undertaking autonomous performance of:
* Non‑invasive and transplant cardiology testing and reporting.
* Ward and theatre based testing and reporting.

The individual will initially spend their time achieving all necessary sign‑offs in non‑invasive and transplant cardiology before being exposed to ward and Cath lab based work.
Person Specification
Knowledge/Qualifications
* Has already graduated from or is about to graduate from an approved undergraduate programme: BSc Healthcare Science (Cardiac Physiology) or BSc Clinical Physiology (Cardiac Physiology)
* Has achieved ILS (immediate life support) through the NHS or University
Experience
* Experience of working with people in the NHS
Skills
* Can demonstrate when to elevate findings and call for help
