Applications are invited for the above post of Fixed term Senior Clinical Fellow under the Breast service within the General Surgery Division at The Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This is a full-time position for 12 months (no on-call).
The Hillingdon Hospital wishes to appoint a Senior Clinical Fellow to join the General Surgery department for a 12 month fixed-term contract. The role will focus primarily on breast. The post is essential to meet the ongoing Breast and General Surgical expansion. The department has 8 substantive consultants, 3 Breast consultants and two locum consultants with middle grade and juniors to support them.
The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust's services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.

The senior clinical fellow will primarily work for the Breast unit. The job covers a wide variety of oncoplastic breast surgery, one-stop clinic exposure, planning and plastic surgery clinical exposure. The Breast team at Hillingdon hospital is based in the new purpose-built unit at Mount Vernon Hospital. The Breast team provides comprehensive service including oncoplastic surgery, medical and clinical oncology with weekly multi-disciplinary meetings.
