Consultant in Adult Community Psychiatry This is an NHS Locum Consultant Post, fixed term for 12 months.
The vacancy has arisen due to a consultant leaving the post. This is a full-time Community General Adult Psychiatry Consultant post.
The role involves providing psychiatric care and fulfilling consultant responsibilities within a multidisciplinary team serving the Bracknell locality.
Main duties of the job The post holder is expected to provide clinical leadership and expert clinical care to the catchment area within Bracknell. The post will be based at Churchill House, Bracknell.
This post is covered by the terms and conditions of service for hospital medical and dental staff (England and Wales). Travel expenses are covered by National Terms and Conditions. Appointment is subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks.

Job responsibilities The postholder will have medical and leadership responsibilities for assessing and managing patients referred to Bracknell, including a small number of mentally disordered offenders not known to Regional Forensic services.
The post involves fulfilling Mental Health Act requirements, including assessments, acting as Responsible Clinician for patients on Supervised Community Treatment orders, and preparing Mental Health Act reports.
An exciting opportunity exists to develop the Primary Care Liaison Network in collaboration with the head of services and the locality director.
