Upon successful completion of the Apprenticeship, there may be an opportunity to transition into a permanent IT support role within the team.
The responsibilities include:
1. Attending and completing an appropriate apprenticeship course to a high standard and on time.
2. Using the Archway IT Manual to deliver IT services to end users under the supervision of the IT Support Manager, ensuring all procedures are followed.
3. Assisting in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network and server systems.
4. Maintaining and ensuring the proper and safe functioning of all end-user IT equipment and software.
5. Installing hardware and software as required.
6. Supporting the delivery and collection of repairable IT items to and from suppliers.
7. Demonstrating and setting up IT and AV equipment for events.
8. Monitoring and replenishing consumables such as printer cartridges, mice, and keyboards.
9. Supporting adherence to software licensing agreements.
10. Preparing user documentation to assist staff and students.
11. Monitoring system misuse and escalating issues as appropriate.
12. Supporting the enhancement and operation of a high-quality learning environment.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with some flexibility to meet business needs.
