Introduction: We are recruiting for an experienced Deputy Care Home Manager to support the day-to-day leadership of a well-established residential care service based in Maidstone. This is a hands-on role combining strong operational oversight with visible leadership on the floor, ensuring high standards of care, compliance, and staff performance. Key Responsibilities: Support the Registered Manager in the overall running of the care home, ensuring safe, effective, and person-centred care. Work a split role with 22 hours on the floor and remaining hours focused on administrative and leadership duties. Lead, supervise, and support staff teams, promoting best practice, accountability, and consistency. Support care planning, audits, compliance, and quality assurance processes. Act as a positive role model, stepping up in the Manager’s absence when required. Requirements: Proven experience as a Deputy Manager within a residential care home is essential. Applications will also be considered from experienced Team Leaders who have carried out genuine managerial responsibilities (not purely senior care duties). A stable employment history with no frequent job changes. Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills. Sound understanding of care standards, compliance, and staff management.
