We are looking to recruit a Community Health Connector to a position available within the Community Engagement team, located in the Town Hall in Preston.
Preston City Council are committed to support residents to lead a healthy lifestyle. This is an exciting opportunity to work within communities to address health inequalities in Preston and connect residents to Stop-Smoking, Cancer Screening and Vaccine services to increase uptake and engagement. The post-holder will work closely with partners such as Lancashire County Council, Integrated Care Board, The Cancer Alliance and other external and internal partners. The postholder will be expected to host pop-up events, support the delivery of a community grants scheme and coordinate with other initiatives across the city to engage with residents whilst making every contact count.
We are seeking a well-organised, enthusiastic individual who has excellent problem-solving skills and has experience of working within the community. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, good reporting and presentation skills and thrive on developing relationships with multiple stakeholders.
