RF Engineer My client designs and delivers bespoke wireless monitoring and communication systems, combining custom hardware and software for industrial and critical applications.They specialise in remote data collection, environmental monitoring, and secure wireless control solutions. Requirements & Responsibilities in the role:
* Degree-level qualification in Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience.
* Proven experience taking products from requirement specification through to circuit design and PCB layout guidance.
* Strong understanding of EMC/EMI design principles and compliance testing.
* Experience designing to meet RED Directive requirements for radio-based products.
* Ability to produce production test procedures and design ATE systems or production jigs.
* Skilled in fault-finding and repair of production PCBs and maintaining ATE test equipment.
* Proficiency in analogue and digital circuit design, low-power microcontroller systems, and power supply design.
* Experience with RF or cellular/telemetry modules.
* Familiarity with software-defined radio advantageous.
* Capable of prototyping, component evaluation, and handling obsolescence-driven redesigns.
* Experience of taking ownership of customer requirements through to production.
