Job Description
Role – Electrical Supervisor (Day shift only or days and nights)
Project Type – New build energy project
Location - Cheshire
Start Date - ASAP
Duration - 6 Months (possible extension)
Rates - £425 - £450 per day for day shift. £475 - £500 for night shift if happy to rotate
Hours: Monday to Friday. Must be flexible to work weekends when required.
Key skills and responsibilities:
* Collaborate with project teams to design electrical systems tailored to project requirements, including power distribution, lighting, communication, and controls.
* Demonstrable industrial E&IC knowledge, preferably in power .
* Able to work with others on site on a day to day basis if and when required.
* Sound Knowledge of Work at Height and Temporary Works.
* Able to plan and coordinate access arrangements for subcontractors.
* Able to proactively identify potential blocking points for activities.
* Develop detailed technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for electrical systems to facilitate clear communication and accurate execution.
* Prioritize safety by adhering to electrical codes, grid requirements, regulations, and industry standards, ensuring personnel well-being and legal compliance.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, architects, contractors, and stakeholders to integrate electrical systems into project design seamlessly.
* Integrate energy-efficient and sustainable practices into electrical system design, minimizing environmental impact.
* Maintain accurate electrical system activity records for the night shifts, generated technical reports, and documented changes for transparency.
* Provide technical expertise during construction meetings and discussions, addressing electrical related queries and making informed recommendations.
* Ability to adjust and thrive in the dynamic environment of a construction site.
* Strong critical thinking skills to identify and resolve issues related to electrical systems during construction.
What the client is looking for:
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, I2C or a related field; Master’s degree is advantageous.
* 5+ years of experience in electrical system design, installation, and operation, preferably within the construction industry or similar field. Ideally working on large – scale electrical installations on big infrastructure projects.
* Proficiency in electrical engineering software, CAD tools, and simulation applications relevant to electrical system design.
* Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards applicable to construction sites.
