Are you a compassionate and experienced professional looking to make a meaningful impact? We are seeking a dedicated Counselling Manager to lead and develop our clients clinical services. This role is pivotal in ensuring the highest professional standards and aligning our clients services with their Christian ethos and mission.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the therapeutic team to deliver professional and ethical interventions.
* Foster an environment and culture that supports high-quality service delivery.
* Ensure compliance with legislative, ethical, policy, and procedural requirements, particularly in Child and Adult Protection.
* Manage the service's waiting list, balancing risk factors and client expectations.
* Develop and maintain external relationships to benefit client needs.
* Maintain a small client caseload (10%) to keep your professional skills sharp and provide effective supervision.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve a financially sustainable service.
* Ensure the service has the appropriate mix of resources through relationships with training providers.
* Deputise for the Managing Coordinator as needed.
Qualifications:
Essential:
* Diploma in Counselling or a relevant qualification (e.g., Art Therapy) and PSA registered, or completion of training as a first-level Registered Nurse in Mental Health with valid registration, or an Occupational Therapist registered with the Health Professions Council, or a qualified Social Worker registered with the Scottish Social Services Council.
* Significant post-registration experience in community mental health and/or addiction services.
* Evidence of continued professional development.
Desirable:
* Qualification in training and clinical supervision.
Experience & Skills:
Essential:
* Experience in clinical supervision.
* Strong communication and team-working skills.
* Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and internet use.
* Ability to work across a multi-disciplinary team.
* Experience in supervising staff.
* Ability to work independently.
Desirable:
* Experience in delivering training.
This role is a 4-day work week, Monday to Thursday, with 10% of your time dedicated to a client caseload and 90% focused on management and leadership. You will be supporting prenatal families on their journey into parenthood.
