Our client is a well-established, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with a strong focus on digital delivery, sustainability, and collaborative design across the built environment.
They are currently looking to appoint a BIM Technician to join their team in Edinburgh or Glasgow, working as part of a wider regional and national BIM community supporting MEP-led projects across multiple sectors.
The Role
This is an opportunity to join a digitally progressive consultancy where BIM plays a central role in design coordination, information management, and project delivery.
You’ll work closely with engineers and fellow technicians to produce accurate, well-coordinated models and drawings, contributing to efficient, high-quality design outcomes across healthcare, education, residential, and commercial projects.

Key responsibilities include:

Producing high-quality 3D models and 2D outputs using Autodesk Revit
*
Setting up and managing MEP models, ensuring consistency and data quality
*
Coordinating design information across disciplines and resolving clashes
*
Reviewing and incorporating information from external models
*
Supporting information management processes and use of CDE platforms (e.g., BIM 360 / ACC)
*
Applying automation and productivity tools (such as Dynamo and Revit add-ins) to improve workflows
*
Sharing knowledge and contributing to continuous improvement within the BIM team
What We’re Looking For
*
Experience working as a BIM Technician within an MEP or building services environment
*
Practical experience using Revit MEP on live projects
*
Familiarity with clash detection processes and coordinated design workflows
*
Understanding of ISO 19650 principles and information management standards
*
Ability to manage modelling tasks independently while working collaboratively
*
A proactive, detail-focused approach with an interest in improving digital processes
*
Experience with AutoCAD, Solibri, and Microsoft Excel
*
Interest in automation or visual programming tools (e.g., Dynamo)
