Project Manager
If you describe yourself as someone with a can-do attitude who looks for solutions rather than barriers, this one should feel like a good fit.
This role is for a Project Manager who likes being in the thick of things. Someone practical, resourceful and delivery-focused, who enjoys taking ownership of complex product projects and seeing them through to manufacturing handover.
The position sits within a growing technology business developing advanced, engineered products used in demanding environments. The projects are high visibility, business critical and technically complex. This is not a support or coordination role. You will be directly accountable for delivery.
What you will be doing:
* Owning and delivering multiple complex product development projects at the same time
* Managing projects from development through to manufacturing handover
* Delivering against demanding schedules, budgets and quality expectations
* Leading regular project meetings including planning, reviews and retrospectives
* Managing risks, issues, dependencies and mitigation plans
* Removing roadblocks through pragmatic, lateral thinking
* Knowing when to push forward and when to escalate appropriately
* Working closely with software, hardware, quality and manufacturing teams
* Partnering with technical leads, architects and product managers
* Ensuring project management processes are followed and continuously improved
* Building trust, engagement and accountability within project teams
* Embedding quality throughout the delivery lifecycle
What do we need from you:
* Direct, hands-on project management experience
* A degree in engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
* Formal project management training or certification such as APM, PRINCE2, SAFe, IPMA or equivalent
* At least three years’ experience delivering complex, product-led projects
* Experience in product project management with either a hardware or software bias
* A strong appreciation of electronics hardware and hardware/software integration
* Experience working across Agile and Waterfall environments
* A solid understanding of software development lifecycles, including embedded, platform or application-based products
* Experience with configuration management and continuous integration workflows
* A practical, can-do attitude with a resourceful approach to problem solving
* Confidence leading cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders
* Experience working with external suppliers under Statements of Work
Please Note – This is a full time office based role.
What can you expect in return:
* Salary of £60,000 to £75,000, depending on experience
* Private health and dental care
* Subsidised onsite restaurant
* Enhanced pension contribution
* Flexible working hours
* Employee assistance programme
* Free onsite parking
* Regular social events
