This role provides a fantastic opportunity for enthusiastic individuals with a passion for education to support pupils in their learning and development. About the Role: As a Primary School Teaching Assistant, you’ll work alongside dedicated teaching staff to support pupils across Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2. You will play a key role in helping children access the curriculum, stay engaged in their learning, and grow both academically and socially in a safe, nurturing environment. Responsibilities: Assist class teachers with planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons. Provide targeted support to pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to raise attainment. Help manage classroom behaviour, encouraging a positive learning atmosphere. Support children with varying needs, including those with SEND or EAL. Prepare learning resources and contribute to displays and classroom organisation. Monitor pupil progress and report observations to teaching staff. Supervise pupils during break and lunch times when required. Encourage pupil independence, confidence, and participation in school life. Job Requirements: Previous experience working in a school or educational setting is desirable. A strong interest in working with children in a primary school environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Adaptability, patience, and a proactive approach to challenges. A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures. A relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning is desirable but not essential. Have an updated CV covering last 10 years with every gaps explainedand an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
