Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Anderselite are seeking a skilled and proactive Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a commercial facilities management business in Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving electrical systems across a range of commercial properties, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational efficiency with other aspects of maintenance/service on mechanical systems when required namely AC systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine and reactive maintenance on electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and emergency systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules.
• Ensure all work complies with current electrical regulations and health & safety standards.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and other engineers to coordinate repairs and upgrades.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Support energy efficiency initiatives and sustainability goals.
Requirements:
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation or Maintenance.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
• Proven experience in commercial electrical maintenance.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Full UK driving licence
• ECS/CSCS card (preferred).
Desirable:
• Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS).
• PAT Testing qualification.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and controls.
• IPAF or PASMA certification.
