Shunter / Shuttle Driver – Magor
People Providers are currently recruiting for Shunter / Shuttle Drivers to join a busy and prestigious client operation based in Magor.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Class 1 drivers looking for a stable role within a fast-paced logistics environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of trailers across site and between local facilities.
Pay Rates
* Days: £17.93 per hour (inc RHP)
* Nights: £19.05 per hour (inc RHP)
* LTD £18.00 / £19.00
Shift Pattern
4 On / 4 Off
* Days: 06:00 – 18:00
* Nights: 18:00 – 06:00
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out daily vehicle and tug checks, reporting any defects promptly.
* Safely shunt and position trailers across the site using a tug unit.
* Work closely with warehouse and transport teams to maintain the smooth flow of trailers and site operations.
* Shuttle trailers between the Brewery and Gwent Park as required.
* Adhere to all site health and safety procedures and operational standards.
* Ensure all movements are completed safely, efficiently, and within operational requirements.
Skills & Experience Required
* Valid LGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
* In-date Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
* Previous shunting experience is desirable; however, full training will be provided for candidates willing to learn.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to work independently and use initiative when required.
* Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
* Flexible and proactive approach to work.
* Proven history of safe and professional driving.
