Are you a numbers-savvy professional who loves turning financial data into meaningful insights? At Guide Dogs, we’re on the lookout for a Management Accountant who’s keen to play a pivotal role in helping us make informed business decisions that change lives.
This is your chance to do more than just crunch numbers. You’ll be the go-to expert supporting teams across the organisation with accurate, insightful financial reporting, helping them understand the real impact of their choices. From preparing month-end reports and leading budgeting processes to offering smart, forward-thinking financial analysis—you’ll be a valued advisor, not just a back-office number cruncher.
Your day-to-day will see you partnering with budget holders, guiding them through forecasts and reports, and identifying opportunities for improvements and savings. You’ll take ownership of month-end processes, ensure the integrity of our financial data, and support annual audits, all while championing best practices and looking for ways to enhance how we work.
We’re looking for someone who’s either qualified or actively working toward a CIMA or ACCA qualification, and who brings solid experience with month-end close, planning, and reporting. If you’re confident with Excel, comfortable using accounting systems, and keen to make a difference in a meaningful environment—we’d love to hear from you.
No two people with sight loss are the same, and none of our people are either. So, we are proud to offer a range of person-centred benefits that can support each member of staff in ways that really mean something to them – and show them how much they mean to us. We offer a flexible benefits package, discounts and cashback scheme, a generous holiday allowance and matched contributory pension scheme to care for our people.
We value in-person collaboration with our teams and those we support, so the ability to travel to our sites is needed for this role. We support hybrid working arrangements, so you have flexibility to work in a way that’s best for you.
This role will be based on site at our Reading office, and you’ll be working 35 hours per week, worked 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Applying
If you would like to have an informal conversation about the role before applying, or require any accessibility support to apply, our friendly recruitment team is ready and waiting to help. Call them on 0118 3540345 or drop an email to recruitment@guidedogs.org.uk.
As part of your application ensure you provide evidence and examples of how your skills & experience meet the criteria as set out in the attached job description. You will also be asked to complete a few job-specific questions as part of this application process, so please be prepared to write your answers to these questions.
