Ongoing support throughout your placement, with temp-to-perm opportunitiesProspero Teaching are supporting friendly and well-resourced primary schools across the Wallasey area who are looking to appoint a full-time KS1 Teacher for long-term roles starting in February. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Key Stage 1 practitioner who enjoys supporting children at a vital stage of their early learning and development.
The role
As a KS1 Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, creative lessons that support pupils' early literacy, numeracy and personal development. You will work closely with senior leaders and classroom support staff to create a positive, nurturing learning environment where children feel safe, confident and excited to learn. Schools are seeking teachers who can maintain strong routines while building positive relationships with young learners.
Responsibilities
Planning and delivering high-quality lessons across the KS1 curriculum
Creating a nurturing, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
Tracking, assessing and reporting on pupil progress
Supporting children's academic, social and emotional development
Working effectively with teaching assistants and support staff
Encouraging positive behaviour and clear classroom routines
Building strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleaguesAbout the schools
Supportive and welcoming staff teams
Strong focus on pupil well-being and early development
Well-equipped classrooms and engaging learning spaces
Easily accessible from Birkenhead, Wallasey, Bebington and surrounding Wirral areasThe ideal candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
Experience teaching within Key Stage 1
Warm, enthusiastic and confident classroom practitioner
Strong communication and classroom management skills
Reliable, proactive and committed to high standards
Good understanding of safeguarding and primary school policiesSafeguarding
