To build on their successful story to date, the business is now seeking to appoint an experienced and commercially minded Finance Director to join their leadership team. Responsible for overseeing and directing all financial activities to ensure the financial health and sustainability of the organisation, the Finance Director will work closely with the executive team to drive financial performance, make strategic financial decisions, and contribute to the overall success of the company.

Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with the Board and Executive Team, the Finance Director will lead the Finance teams and play a key part in developing and delivering the overall business plan and strategic direction of the Company.

The appointee will ideally combine retail sector experience, with a proactive, commercial and growth minded approach. This will be balanced with a robust approach to financial governance, planning and risk management.

Successful candidates will have demonstrable expertise in the following key areas of responsibility:

• Strategic Financial Leadership: Ideally gained as a Finance Director in a commercial, product led, retail sector. Spearheading the development and execution of forward-looking financial strategies that propel the company towards its long-term objectives, driving profitability and sustainable growth.

• Dynamic Budgeting and Forecasting: Leading agile budgeting processes, continuously refining financial forecasts to provide actionable insights, enabling proactive decision-making and adaptability in a rapidly evolving market.

• Actionable Financial Insights: Generating and presenting comprehensive financial reports, encompassing profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow analyses, and dynamic key performance indicators (KPIs), empowering the executive team with deep insights into performance drivers and opportunities for optimisation.

• Proactive Risk Management: Identifying and proactively mitigating emerging financial risks, including exposure to currency fluctuations, interest rate dynamics, and market uncertainties, to safeguard the company's financial health and resilience in volatile environments.

• Strategic Capital Allocation: Driving strategic capital allocation decisions, optimising the company's capital structure through effective management of debt and equity, while strategically deploying resources to maximise returns and shareholder value.

• Robust Financial Governance: Establishing and upholding rigorous financial controls, policies, and procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance and robust protection of company assets, while fostering a culture of transparency and accountability across the organisation.

• Agile Cash Flow Optimisation: Implementing agile cash flow management strategies, optimising working capital dynamics to support operational agility and strategic investments, facilitating the company's ability to capitalise on emerging opportunities and navigate economic cycles effectively.

• Business Partnering: Operating as a highly effective business partner across all areas of the business to deliver profitable, sustainable growth across new and existing markets.

• People Leadership: a proven people leader with a focus on teamwork, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
