About the role
As our digital capability expands, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Digital Product Owner to define and deliver transformational digital capabilities that benefit NFU Mutual customers while maximising value in line with our core business objectives. Reporting to the Senior Digital Product Owner, you will lead the development of NFU Mutual’s digital products, ensuring effective prioritisation of the product backlog and alignment with release schedules and enhancement activities. This role is crucial in delivering objectives that enhance NFU Mutual’s digital proposition.
You will work closely with senior stakeholders to build and maintain strong relationships, influence, and secure sponsorship to ensure the delivery of new digital capabilities in line with expectations and business readiness. You will balance feature prioritisation, manage the product backlog, and collaborate with a wide network of stakeholders to gather and refine requirements, driving the evolution of customer experience at NFU Mutual.
You will provide digital expertise across products, balancing technical, commercial, and customer experience perspectives. Working with stakeholders, internal partners, and third-party suppliers, you will ensure delivery within budget, quality, and regulatory standards, and monitor and resolve blockers or impediments in the digital development process.
You will lead and motivate your scrum team to deliver efficiently and effectively, maximising sprint velocity. You will keep the team informed about industry best practices, technological advancements, and regulatory changes.
This role requires a strong understanding of digital product management, the ability to drive business alignment, and a passion for delivering top-notch digital experiences.
About you
You are an experienced digital professional, an effective communicator with a strong focus on customer experience. You are resilient and have a proven background in a similar role. You have successfully led multiple transformational digital products from inception to delivery. You have experience driving commerciality and prioritising activities across digital business cases. You can demonstrate collaboration across various areas of a business and with third parties to successfully deliver digital capabilities.
Additionally, you must demonstrate:
* Outstanding stakeholder management and influencing skills
* Experience leading and motivating teams
* Experience creating, socialising, and gaining financial commitment for business cases
